Private client head highly commended in leadership awards
Keebles head of private client, Michele Wightman, has received a prestigious commendation in awards which recognise the achievements of women in business.
Michele clinched the title of Highly Commended Honouree in the Leadership category of the ATHENA International scr Awards.
Now in their 4th year, the honours acknowledge leaders who demonstrate excellence, creativity and initiative in their profession, give time and energy to improve the lives of others – and serve as a role model for young women professionally and personally.
A champion, mentor and supporter of women fulfilling their potential, Michele has been instrumental in introducing flexible working practices and apprenticeships to Keebles and encouraging more women from black and ethnic minorities to enter the legal sector.
Aligned with her ethos of sharing best practice, the private client head has presented the results and benefits of Keebles’ work in this area to the local business community, helping female entrepreneurs and local companies to build a 21st Century business and drive growth.
Spearheaded by Rotherham Pioneers, a group which champions the town’s business community, the awards are supported and hosted by organisations including the Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce.
Said Michele: “All nominees are to be congratulated for their valuable contributions and commitment to their respective professions, their communities and for developing the next generation. I am honoured and delighted to receive this special commendation in these accolades which are affiliated with the highly-respected global ATHENA International award.”
Keebles, which has offices in Sheffield, Doncaster and Leeds, is a champion of giving back to its local communities. Over the past decade Michele has launched a wealth of charitable and fundraising initiatives and partnerships with the region’s charities.
