My Million Pound Menu winners open their first restaurant in Liverpool
Pilgrim, the winners of BBC2’s My Million Pound Menu, will open their first restaurant. The opening will take place on Liverpool’s Duke Street Market on the 15th May.
The menu gains inspiration from the ‘Pilgrim’ name – an annual pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, Spain. Therefore, the menu draws on the French, Spanish and Portuguese dishes traditionally cooked along its route.
The team behind Pilgrim have promised to showcase the “diverse flavours and ingredients found along the many routes of the Camino, serving a flexitarian menu that showcases the highest quality local produce, all cooked over a live-fire hearth in our open kitchen.”
And, as there are more than a dozen routes of the Camino, we can’t help but feel living up to that promise is going to involve changing up the menu on a fairly regularly basis! Therefore, this is what can be expected from the new My Million Pound Menu, however is your restaurant staying up to date in the 21st century?
Obviously, a successful restaurant in the 21st century must have a fresh menu and way of serving your customer. However, there are other considerations:
Have you got the right premises under the right terms?
Are the right people hired and is their employment on the right basis?
Are the agreements you’ve made with your suppliers looking after your best interests?
Is your brand protected or is it at risk of being disputed or misappropriated by a competitor?
And if you’re using one of the ‘gig economy’ delivery partners, are they delivering everything they promised?
This is where our specialist Leisure & Tourism team will help who have the experience needed to support your business.
