Collaborative Law & Mediation
The Collaborative Law process brings both parties and both solicitors into the same room, and seeks to achieve a face-to-face solution to family difficulties.
Our specially trained legal experts can work with both of you to reach the best solution for you and your family. You will still have your own independent legal team working with you but you and your former partner remain in control of the process and the agenda.
This process means that you will still see and speak to your former partner, which helps to build understanding and achieve the outcome which suits you both best.
The process involves signing an agreement which disqualifies your lawyers from representing either of you in Court if the process breaks down, ensuring everyone’s commitment to finding a solutions by agreement and not conflict.
The final agreement is then turned into a Court Order, a result created and promoted by the lawyers and ex partners together, leading to a better long term relationship.
