Industry 4.0 – Employment Law

Be aware that any new technologies you adopt could give rise to claims under employment law given their implementation is likely to lead to wholesale reorganisation or even redundancies. This means you will need to consult with your employees and their representatives as early as possible.

From a more positive perspective, Industry 4.0 will lead to more flexible working models and create new roles for certain employees (roles that may demand upskilling or retraining) so again, the earlier you can explain these changes to your employees, the easier the transition will be.
