Company Director Disqualification

One of the potential consequences when a company becomes insolvent is action being taken against its directors.

The Department of Trade and Industry can take action against directors to disqualify them from being a director for a period of up to 15 years, where they believe their conduct has been unfit.

We act for directors who are faced with disqualification proceedings brought by the Department of Trade and Industry and provide cost effective advice for defending the claim, or in the alternative negotiating an undertaking to be disqualified as a director for an agreed period of time.

We can also assist directors who have been disqualified and want to obtain the permission of the Court to act as a director whilst disqualified.
